We’re THRILLED to announce that Tammy Booe has been named the new Executive Director of the Miami County Community Foundation, starting September 1st.
This is BIG news for our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to have Tammy leading the charge.
As Keri Peterson, Secretary of the Miami County Community Foundation Board, shared,
“Tammy has been a friend for many years, and as a board member, I can’t think of anyone better suited to be the face and ambassador of our county and foundation. Her love for this community is unmatched, and I’m thrilled to have her on the team.”
Born and raised in Osawatomie, Tammy knows Miami County like the back of her hand—and LOVES everything about small-town life, where everyone looks out for each other.
Tammy was born and raised in Osawatomie, Kansas. She graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1984. She and her husband, Joe, have raised their family here, teaching their kids the importance of giving back through volunteering, just like she has.
Peter Lewis, President of the Board, expressed his excitement, saying, “Choosing someone to represent our brand and community wasn’t easy, but I’m excited to have another local leader like Tammy to guide our partnerships and make an impact on Miami County, a place I’ve always called home.”
Tammy has been an incredible advocate for the community, serving on the USD367 Board of Education for 20+ years and the PRIDE committee. Tammy has served on the Miami County Community Foundation board for four years.
Now, as Executive Director, Tammy is ready to take the Foundation to new heights!
Tammy is passionate about spreading the word about the great work we’re doing—connecting donors to causes that matter and making a real impact across Miami County. We can’t wait to see how she brings her love for this community and leadership skills together to make a difference.
